So my dogs are barking, which they always do, but they won't stop. They are in my house staring out the window at the neighbors yard intently. Finally when they keep on barking, I go over and expect to see the neighbors have let their lab out to play and mine are just being noisy protective.
Well, instead I see my dog Riley sitting on their porch. Just staring back at her four brothers and sisters while they bark AT her. I call her to no avail as she just sits at me and STARES, so in my house slippers and t-shirt (neighbors are gone), I slip over to get her. She runs of course but eventually comes to my door, but only because it is very cold (an added bonus for me barely dressed).
She has learned she can run out the back and jump my fence in seconds on a whim, and often I do not know. And now twice she has beat me to my car (me leaving thru front door, her running through house, out dog door, down steps, across part of yard, over the fence, and up the drive in the same amount of time). It has become one great big obstacle course to her and quite the game indeed. And she is winning. All smiles that dog.
Oh god help me.
