After a weekend visit to my mom, who is nearly a saint and hardly ever loses her cool, I sent her this card.
I always visit with the "grand pups" since I don't have any kids and she loves them and accepts them regardless. She likes being a grandmother to sweet rescued babies but my babies are just pure bad at GMA's house.
Maisy- gets disoriented in her old age about everything, yet she can still run away so we have to lock her inside when gone long periods of time. Well, she decided to remove 2 window treatments, scratch cabinets and chew up the door frame to get out. So I spent Sunday undoing what she did. She is 16+ and has like 1 tooth. She never ceases to amaze me, Maisy Moo Pig. She has my heart.
Buddy- hyper, jumps on everyone, has to wear a diaper inside and pees on EVERYTHING outside. That includes her potted plants, chairs, walkway, rails, house edges, whatever he can find. Whiz whiz goes Buddy Love. He makes me laugh.
Sam- he is a good boy and loves everyone. He loves Maisy so much he follows her when she pulls a great escape out of the fenced in yard so we have to keep the ring leader inside (Maisy). He loves mom and wants to play and be held. But most of all, he loves mom's rescued white GSD named Della. Sam has never hit on a dog before in 4 years, but he tries to make love to Della every time (both are fixed). I guess he is just into blondes. Mom is not a big fan of that as Della has sore hips plus we can see it all from the breakfast table. :) Sam I am love.
Shanti- she hates it at GMA's house. As soon as we arrive, she posts guard watch at the gate until the time we leave. Every time I go somewhere she gets excited thinking we are leaving to go home. She likes rides but hates actually ARRIVING anywhere but my house. So she pretty much ignores everything and all the dogs. She just stand guard near my truck and sleeps with her backside toward us. Shanti Baby needs my understanding.
