Pet over population is something we can control. Spay and neuter all pets. There are discounted and free services for those that need them. NC (where I live) ranked #1 in Puppy Mill busts this year. Do not buy dogs from breeders. Let breeders find another way to make money.
If you do buy or know of a breeder, ask to see BOTH parents and where they live/sleep. If you think it might be an illegal puppy mill, contact the Human Society of the US at 1-877-Mill- Tips. They offer a $5000 reward for information leading to puppy mill busts.
